Budget Foundations Program
Learning to categorize spending isn't about restriction. It's about understanding where money actually goes each month—and making informed choices based on that reality. We start with practical frameworks that work for Australian households.

Week 1-2: Tracking Reality
Most people underestimate spending by about 20%. We fix that first. You'll learn three different tracking methods and choose what actually fits your life. No judgment about what you find—just accurate information.
Week 3-4: Category Systems
Everyone's categories are different because everyone's priorities are different. We'll build yours from the ground up. Some people need fifteen categories. Others work better with five. There's no single right answer here.
Week 5-6: Variable Expenses
The tricky part isn't rent or insurance. It's the irregular stuff—car registration, annual subscriptions, occasional medical bills. We develop systems for spreading these across months so they don't derail everything.
Week 7-8: Adjustment Practice
Your first budget won't be perfect. That's expected. We spend these sessions refining what you've built, troubleshooting problems, and making the whole thing sustainable rather than aspirational.
Who Teaches This
Our instructors have spent years working with Australian households on budget systems. They understand the gap between theory and practice—and how to bridge it.
Bjorn Lindqvist
Lead Instructor
Worked with over 200 households since 2018. His approach: start simple, add complexity only when needed. Background in both accounting and adult education.
Aoife Brennan
Workshop Facilitator
Specializes in helping people who've tried budgeting before and given up. Focuses on sustainable habits rather than perfect systems. Former banker who switched to education in 2020.
Vesna Radović
